Area: There is an error message when I synchronize.

Problem: The PST file cannot be opened, and Outlook 2003/2007/2010/2013 is installed on the other computer

Starting with Outlook 2003, Outlook can use a file format that is incompatible with older Outlook versions.

There are three ways to solve this problem:

Solution 1: You can convert this (unicode) file format into the normal format. If you do this, you can synchronize Outlook 2003/2007/2010/2013 with other Outlook versions.

Microsoft describes how to do this:

You are basically creating a new PST file, using the compatible format. Move all existing objects into this new file.

Solution 2: Simply install Easy2Sync for Outlook on the computer where Outlook 2003/2007/2010/2013 is installed. On this computer, the drivers allow Easy2Sync to read both the old and the new file format.

Solution 3: Install Outlook 2003/2007/2010/2013 on this machine.
