What is a variant?

Cliptexts can be defined with "Variants". This means that one cliptext (for example the cliptext "Delay in delivery") can contain several effective texts. This allows you to store texts in multiple variations under one single cliptext name. Depending on the context, ReplyButler automatically inserts the right text.

Professional users can also define variants with their own criteria. For example the same text in formal and in informal style. Userdefined conditions are also possible, for example the store a refund text for product A, B and C.

Example:

You have two products "Abc" und "Def" and two texts explaining the use of the respective product. You can put each text in a separate cliptext and and manually insert the right one. Or you use just one cliptext and let ReplyButler automatically insert the one that matches the current e-mail:

1.Create a new cliptext
2.Enter the text for the product Abc.
3.Click in the line "Variant name" on [...]
4.Enter the name "Abc". The same for "User-defined condition". Close the dialog "Variant" with OK.
5.Click in the line "Variant name" on New (Paper icon) and choose "New user-defined variant".
6.Enter the text for the product Def.
7.Click in the line "Variant name" on [...]
8.Enter the name "Def". The same for "User-defined condition". Close the dialog "Variant" with OK.
9.Close the dialog "Edit cliptext" with OK.
