Intention: Two computers (e. g. desktop and laptop) shall have the same data. Changes on one computer (no matter which one) will be transferred to the other. Outlook can stay open on both computers during the sync.
Requirements: You’re not using an Exchange server (Otherwise see " Only one PC")
Steps: Once:
• | Choose a path on the first (no matter which one) PC, where a central copy of the PST file can be stored. |
Steps: On the first (no matter which one) involved PC:
• | Install Easy2Sync for Outlook. |
• | For the first data storage choose the PC’s local data. |
• | For the second data storage choose "Other PC / Far away". |
• | Enter the local path + filename (e. g. "D:\Mail\Bridge.pst") that you’ve chosen previously. The path must exist. The PST file can exist, but doesn’t have to. |
Steps: On all other involved PCs:
• | Install Easy2Sync for Outlook. |
• | For the first data storage choose the PC’s local data. |
• | For the second data storage choose "Other PC / In the local network" and follow the instructions on the first PC. On that computer don’t choose the default data, but use the combo-box in the upper right corner, select "Search manually" and select the previously chosen PST file. |
Variations: For contacts, appointments, mail-only, team calendar, etc. see „Variations“.
