What's the difference between the button in the menubar and the cliptext library?

Top  Previous  Next

Buttons and cliptext libraries are very similar, but not identical.

A button is the clickable thing the toolbar, for example the button "general". You can enable or disable individual buttons in the options or change their order.

A cliptext library defines the button and the contents behind the button. If you edit the cliptext library each button beneath the "Toolbar" element automatically creates a button.

The mapping of button and ClipTextLib is not 1:1. One cliptext library can define multiple buttons. At the same time can multiple cliptext libraries define the same button (e.g. "General"). ReplyButler will create the button in this case only once, and join the contents into one single menu (Menu fusion).
